Adventure down the dirt road
In 2017, on a whim, Chuck bought a home brew kit from Corvallis Brew Supply and decided he wanted to learn how to brew beer. He had already started growing field of hops, with dreams of using the hops in his beer (it’s hard work, do not recommend :)). After a year, he built a 20 gal system and started brewing on his patio. Eventually, he bought a 5 bbl system and brewed out of his garage.
In August 2019, after running out of space, Chuck and Vicki decided to take the road less traveled by opening their own brew pub & brewery in downtown Philomath. In the years since, Dirt Road Brewing has become a fixture in the community.
Packed most nights, the pub serves up delicious craft beer and handmade pizzas in an environment that feels like home.

We’ve brewed over 90 different beers in the last seven years, venturing far off the beaten path in search of new, unexplored terrain in brewing.

DOWN THE ROAD…
Pub Expansion
In 2023, we purchased the space next door to our pub in downtown Philomath and are in the process of expanding our seating capacity.
When it is completed in Summer 2024, the expansion will more than triple our seating capacity, add a second bar (that will also serve liquor), offer space for live music, and provide a full kitchen (and expanded menu!)) as well as a walk-up window for take-away orders.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our new space as soon as it opens!
On-Site Brewing
The second phase of our expansion—coming early 2025—will allow us to start brewing beer on site at our pub! Along with a new expanded brewing system that will triple our beer production and allow us to expand our barrel aged series, this second phase will provide outdoor covered seating and create more room for community events.
We’re excited to bring our ground-breaking brewing closer to our community and closer to our customers.
Distribution Plans
We’re self-distributed at the moment and you can find our beer at 60+ pubs and stores across Philomath, Corvallis, Albany, Eugene, and Salem. In the next several years, we hope to expand our distribution throughout Oregon.
